With it being only 2 years old Sonisphere is one of the younger festivals in existence. Last years 2 day affair featuring Metallica and Linkin Park as headliners was enough to lodge this festival into people’s hearts and minds. With only 2 years under the belt Sonisphere has gone a long way catching its nearest rival up at Donington. The 2 parties play down any rivalry but with both festivals booking similar acts it is obvious there is plenty to fight for each year; a fight that Sonisphere seems to have got better at in 2011 with a spanking line-up, including the big 4.
